It can also be used as a certificated refresher training module for existing employees.

This package is ideal for any organisation wanting to provide a new worker with a certificated introduction to health and safety. It covers the key responsibilities and will help underpin site-specifcic training. Topics addressed include:

  • Hazardous Substances
  • Electricity

The pack also comes with a free management training DVD on health and safety management. Each employee watches the training DVD, after which they log on using the access key, register on-line and answers the 20 multiple choice questions. If necessary the process is repeated until a score of at least 90% is achieved.

Your satisfaction is our priority

To help us monitor more closely the effectiveness of our training organisation and delivery we have started sending out a very brief on-line survey to delegates who have internet access, upon completion of the course. All responses can remain anonymous, which will give delegates more opportunity to say what they really thought of the training as they would have had time to reflect and will know that their identities will be protected.

Any client who does not wish this monitoring to occur may advise our training admin manager at the time of booking. All feedback will be shared with the client.

Staff profile – Paul Bridger

Paul joined Adamson’s Laboratory Services (ALS) in February 2009 as Health and Safety Trainer, specialising in asbestos. Paul has delivered courses on behalf of several Group companies, and these include BOHS proficiency modules, IOSH courses and asbestos awareness. The feedback on his training is always positive; this is due to his style of delivery, an excellent knowledge of the subject and the manner in which he explains the more complex issues. This is borne out by the number of repeat course
bookings that are achieved.

Since joining ALS, Paul has widened his knowledge base and now undertakes legionella risk assessments and monthly monitoring checks for clients. In his spare time (of which there is not much) Paul is a keen archer, he is also in the process of restoring a 1973 MGB GT.

Donation in lieu of cards

As in previous years, instead of sending out Xmas cards to all our clients we made a donation to Canterbury Oast Trust. This is a charity that supports people with learning disabilities. The Trust creates opportunities for those who cannot look after themselves outside of a safe and supportive environment.
